In VitroFertilization (IVF)

In Vitro Fertilization is an assisted reproduction treatment in which eggs are retrieved and fertilized in the laboratory; the resulting embryos are cultured for several days before being transferred to the uterus or vitrified for a later cycle.

May be considered in cases of tubal factor, male factor, endometriosis, low ovarian reserve, unexplained infertility, or when previous treatments have not resulted in pregnancy.

The active ovarian stimulation phase usually lasts approximately 10 to 14 days, followed by follicular aspiration and embryo culture in the laboratory. When preimplantation genetic testing, vitrification, or a deferred transfer are performed, treatment extends into a subsequent cycle. Your physician will outline your specific timeline at your evaluation.

At CEMPI the embryology laboratory uses time-lapse embryo monitoring and sperm microinjection techniques (ICSI and PICSI) when indicated, along with preimplantation genetic testing options.
