What is Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT)?
This test makes it possible to know, before transferring an embryo, whether or not it has a chromosomal alteration, and also which sex each embryo belongs to.

Who is it indicated for?
May be considered for advanced maternal age, recurrent pregnancy loss, previous implantation failure, or a family genetic history.
The process, step by step
- 1Embryo culture
- 2Sample or culture-medium collection
- 3Genetic analysis
- 4Selection and deferred transfer
It is performed within the IVF cycle. Results are usually available approximately 14 to 21 days after sample collection, so the transfer is normally deferred to a later cycle.
Technology and technique at CEMPI
CEMPI offers both embryo biopsy and culture-medium analysis, depending on the indication in each case.

Cost and financial planning
We do not publish generic prices because cost depends on the indicated treatment, the laboratory work it requires, and the number of cycles anticipated. After your evaluation, the PLANEA department prepares a proposal naming the included services and payment alternatives.
