IntrauterineInsemination (IUI)

Intrauterine insemination is a low-complexity procedure in which the semen sample is processed in the laboratory and placed into the uterus during the ovulation window, shortening the distance sperm must travel.

May be indicated for mild male factor, cervical factor, unexplained infertility, or when using donor sperm, provided the fallopian tubes are patent.

It is performed within a single menstrual cycle, with prior ultrasound monitoring; the in-office procedure takes a few minutes.
