Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
A prepared semen sample is placed directly into the uterine cavity at the time of ovulation.
What is it?
Intrauterine insemination is a low-complexity procedure in which the semen sample is processed in the laboratory and placed into the uterus during the ovulation window, shortening the distance sperm must travel.
Who is it for?
May be indicated for mild male factor, cervical factor, unexplained infertility, or when using donor sperm, provided the fallopian tubes are patent.
Approximate duration
It is performed within a single menstrual cycle, with prior ultrasound monitoring; the in-office procedure takes a few minutes.

In-house laboratory sperm preparation and follicular ultrasound monitoring performed by your treating physician.
