What is it?
Preimplantation genetic testing analyzes the embryo's genetic information before transfer, giving the physician additional data when selecting which embryo to transfer.
Who is it for?
May be considered for advanced maternal age, recurrent pregnancy loss, previous implantation failure, or a family genetic history.
Approximate duration
It is performed within the IVF cycle; results usually mean the transfer is deferred to a later cycle.
